Economic Analyst

We are currently recruiting an Economic Analyst to base in our Milan office.

Activities
  • • Market and regulatory assessments
  • • Cost-benefit analyses
  • • Business plans
  • • Analyses in competition policy cases
  • • Due diligence in the context of corporate transactions
  • The candidate is expected to demonstrate strong numerical skills, attention to detail, commitment and initiative.


    Key responsibilities
  • • Manage and analyse qualitative and quantitative data
  • • Carry out research on regulation and competition matters
  • • Drafting memoranda and sections in reports summarising analyses
  • • Contributing to prepare complex and customised financial valuation models using Excel
  • • Preparing surveys of the academic literature relevant to our cases
  • • Participating in client meetings and conference calls

  • Education and Skills Required
  • • Master’s degree (Laurea Specialistica or equivalent) in Economics or Finance. Degrees in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or Statistics will be considered. An econometric background constitutes a plus
  • • Fluency in Italian and English
  • • Strong analytical skills
  • • Good writing skills
  • • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • • Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and clients
  • • Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)

    Quantitative and Data Analyst

    We are currently looking for a Quantitative and Data Analyst to base in our Milan office.


    Activities
    • • Statistical analysis on large datasets
    • • Statistical and machine-learning algorithms
    • • Operations research and constrained optimisation

    • Key responsibilities
      • • Manage and analyse qualitative and quantitative data
      • • Contribute in software development and data analysis
      • • Independently maintain datasets
      • • Prepare surveys of the academic literature and the methodologies relevant to our projects
      • • Participating in client meetings and conference calls

      • Education and Skills Required
      • • Master’s degree (Laurea Specialistica or equivalent) in Statistics or Computer Science. Strong quantitative degrees in Engineering, Mathematics or Physics will also be considered
      • • Experience with constrained optimization is a plus
      • • Fluency in Italian and English
      • • Good writing skills
      • • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
      • • Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and clients
      • • Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
      • • Fluency with programming and software development is key. We mainly research for candidates with knowledge of Python or R, but are open to other languages. GAMS constitutes a plus. We expect the candidate to have familiarity of data analysis and data visualization tools within these languages.
